Salma Hayek Marries François-Henri Pinault


April 25, 2009 ~ Salma Hayek wed French billionaire François-Henri Pinault at Venice's Teatro La Fenice opera house. It was a celebration worthy of its famous venue with a star studded guest list including Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ed Norton, Woody Harrelson, Charlize Theron, Stuart Townsend, Stella McCartney, Damien Rice, Lucy Liu and Bono.

Hayek exchanged her Balenciaga wedding gown for a knee-length fuschia dress and joined her guests singing and dancing at the reception which winded down around 3 a.m.

"It was all about love, family and friends," says a wedding guest. Not to mention song.

Cheech Marin Engaged to Natasha Rubin


ENGAGEMENT ~ Cheech Marin has proposed to his girlfriend of 4 1/2 years, classical pianist Natasha Rubin his rep tells People exclusively. He proposed over dinner at the intimate Giorgio Baldi restaurant in L.A. "The couple are thrilled and looking forward to sharing their special day with close friends and family," his rep says.

The couple plan to wed this summer at the actor's Malibu home.

Marin is best known for his roles on Nash Bridges and Cheech & Chong.

COMMITMENT CEREMONY ~ Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou held a commitment ceremony in his native Benin, Africa over the summer, a source confirms to Us Magazine. The source tells Us the couple -- currently expecting their first child together -- went to Africa to meet Hounsou's family and decided to have the traditional ceremony "since they knew it was a special opportunity to all be together."

For the ceremony, the couple wore traditional dress and it was performed in front of his family and her daughters.

However, the couple is not engaged the source tells the magazine.

Kirsten Vangsness Engaged to Melanie Goldstein


ENGAGED ~ Criminal Minds' Kirsten Vangsness will wed her longtime girlfriend Melanie Goldstein this spring, the actress tells People exclusively. "I never thought I would want to do it," says Vangsness. "Then when you meet the person, you're like, 'I want to marry you. I don't care if there's a law against it!'"

The actress is planning on a southern wedding with Goldstein, an assistant editor on 24. "We're going to get married in Texas because her parents have this great place there," says Vangsness, who has been dating Goldstein for two and a half years, "and since it's not official anywhere until things change – which I have total confidence that they will – we're going to do it there just to completely thumb our nose at the government."

Though Goldstein popped the question in November, the couple kept the news under wraps until Vangness told her Criminal Minds castmates last month at a table read. "Everybody squealed and got very excited," says Vangness, whose costars are already eager to pitch in.

February 26th, 2009 ~ Tom Brady & Gisele Bündchen quietly got married in a small, private ceremony in Santa Monica, California, sources tell People. The couple wed just before 6 p.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, less than a mile from the beach.

Us magazine has new exclusive details; the groom donned a gray two-button peak lapel pure wool suit made by Ermenegildo Zegna while the bride wore a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana.

Brady's 1 ½ year-old son, John Edward Thomas, was present at the wedding which was followed by a small gathering at their Brentwood home.

The is the first marriage for both Brady and Bündchen.

Kristy Swanson Marries Lloyd Eisler


February 7th, 2009 ~ Kristy Swanson wed her Skating With Celebrities partner, Canadian figure skater, Lloyd Eisler People exclusively reports. "It was awesome and I feel amazing," Swanson told the magazine. "[The ceremony] was perfect even though Lloyd's cell phone went off at the end. He forgot to put it on vibrate!"

The couple tied the knot in front of 100 family and friends at a hotel in San Luis Obispo. "We wanted to celebrate Lloyd and I coming together as a family," says Swanson, referring to their 2 year-old son Magnus and Eisler's children from a previous marriage, Ethan Harley, 4, and Seth Keenan, 3.

The bride wore a strapless ivory wedding gown by Amy Michelson and shoes by Carmen Steffens as she walked down the aisle to Van Morrison's "Crazy Love." The groom wore a tux by Nicole Miller. During the ceremony, the couple and their combined children placed individual flowers in a vase, symbolizing a family bouquet. "It's about perfect happiness and unity," says Swanson. The newlyweds danced their first dance to Edwin McCain's "I'll Be," a song they performed to on their reality show. Guests dined on filet mignon and a four-tier wedding cake.

Swanson is best known for her role in the 1992 movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Eisler is a former Olympic pairs figure skater.
